In 2011, a lot of kitchens played with color and texture in textiles and tile. Designers got creative with storage solutions and working with small spaces. Kitchens as part of great rooms were popular, too. Bold light fixtures were a must, but simple and classic cabinetry was still present in every kitchen style.
